No, I don't make office furniture - that's dotcom and not related.

I'm a freelance journalist based near Sevenoaks in Kent available to editors for reporting and feature assignments, and to companies needing occasional publicity without paying full-time for a full service agency.

For the best part of 20 years I have been working freelance as a writer and magazine editor. In recent times I have been involved in the world of sports turf, editing Turf Business since 2005 and before that Turf Management. Previously it was horticulture, when for 14 years I handled the PR for the Horticultural Trades Association and edited and produced its monthly HTA News.

I am a Member of the Garden Media Guild, but I do not specialise and have worked with - and in - many industries. In earlier times as an account executive at major public relations firm Charles Barker Lyons (formerly FJ Lyons) I helped publicize big name paint brands, household electricals, ceramic tiles, and cigarettes (well, it was a while ago) via consumer and trade media.

I work alone and my office is at home, so costs - mine and yours - are low. For editors, I am happy to work for your usual rates: on the PR front there is a small - and I do mean small - retainer to keep me 'on call' and a daily rate (pro rata) for work done only, plus   pre-agreed expenses.

If you think I can help, please call me on 01732 762091 or email me at
